Come and join our Pirate Festival at Llancaiach Fawr Manor, bought to you by the Brotherhood Brotherhood of the Black Pirates on 11th and 12th August!
Pirate themed fun for all the family from 10am until late Saturday and Sunday.
Spot prizes for dressing up for kids, parrots, real live mermaids, Firey Jack professional jester show, cannons, muskets, pistols and swordfighting!
Character actors, ferret racing, ferret cuddles, have a go archery, 30 stalls selling crafts, gifts, costumes, props, accessories food and drink.
Come and relax in our giant marquee and enjoy a drink from the Crimsom Moon tavern (mead, country wines, cider and beer) or the Velvet Buccaneer steampunk pirate cocktail bar. Listen to folk music and join in with a shanty session or watch our pirate bellydancer performances.
Facepainting & glitter tattoos available, backdrops and props for great photograph opportunities and a crime and punishment display with implements of torture and restraint and some more fun photo opportunities as well as the chance to play at 'splat a Pirate in the stocks!'
The pirates will be held in check by the 41st regiment of foote and His Majesty King George III and there will be a battle each afternoon between the opposong forces (with the chance for children to join in at the end!)
We have 17th century surgery displays and a small living history section to explore as well as 2 antique childrens rides and 40 giant sized traditional games for children to play free all day.
Tickets can be bought in advance or are available to buy from the gate on the day (subject to availability)
There is free parking all day too!
There are a small number of public camping pitches left (fri 10th to Mon 13th) but these are very limited and must be booked through the festival organisers (sorry but no campers can be allowed onsite if not pre booked)
