If you knit or crochet, or you’re planning to learn, then we’ve got a very special opportunity for you to create your beautiful, hand-spun yarn.
In shepherdess Jane’s woolly workshop you’ll learn how to choose, clean and prepare fleece, spin it by hand, and ply your yarn so it’s ready to use! You’ll leave with a skein of yarn you’ve created and your own drop spindle so you can keep spinning at home.
About your tutor: Jane runs the Kennixton Flock, rearing several breeds of sheep including some very special rare breeds. She’s an experienced breeder and her workshops are a unique opportunity to follow the journey of yarn from ewe… to you!
We try to keep ticket prices as low as possible so that our workshops are affordable and accessible. We are able to offer a limited amount of free tickets to those on low incomes so please get in touch if you wish to attend a workshop but feel that the cost is prohibitive. Contact [email protected]
We are very grateful for the support of the Big Lottery.
Please note that our workshop venue is downstairs at Little Man coffee, please get in touch when you book if this poses a problem for you and we can make arrangements.
