Keep your kids busy in the holidays this Easter and join in with some pirate craft and dressing up!
Our exciting new exhibition 'The Art of Self-Expression' showcases the history of beards and tattoos. In honour of this great display, we are transforming into pirates (some of the most beardy and tattooed people we know!).
On every weekday, you can pretend to be a pirate by doing some dressing up and trying out some fake beard styles of your own, as well as having a go at making some pirate craft bits with our museum team.
During the first week, you can also have your face painted with Jelly and Marmite face painting (Monday — Thursday 11-3) and you can join in with some craft workshops by the Scrapstore team (Tuesday and Thursday 11-3).
During the second week of the holidays, we will be joined again by the great 'Rainbow Sands'; with them you can make your own piratey sand art (Monday — Friday 11-3).
In the middle weekend of the Easter holidays, you can also take part in some pirate themed lego workshops, listed seperately.
