Barracwda is a street percussion group based in the Roath area of Cardiff. The group is made up of some of the friendliest music lovers in the city and we want to share with you our passion for playing Brazilian percussion!
The session is open to all adults regardless of experience or ability. Whether you are an experienced kit player, professional musician or someone who has never had an opportunity to pick up an instrument in their lives, you will feel comfortable here :) It's a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and our aim is to make you feel good about your playing whatever your background. ALL instruments (and ear plugs) are provided.
We'll be meeting from 6 — 7.30 pm every Tuesday where you'll be getting your hands on lots of drums and small hand held percussion!
Everyone attending workshop is welcome to stay on afterwards, have a cuppa and listen to band practise which runs straight after the session.
Tell your friends, bring your Mum, the more the merrier!
The session is lead by Barracwda's musical director Sallie MacLennan who has over 20 years of experience teaching Brazilian dance, percussion and song to community groups, schools and organisation throughout the UK.
Each session is £5.
