Yoga In The Dark RNIB Charity Yoga Class, will be both fun & challenging, the idea of wearing a blindfold is to simulate what it might be like to live with sight loss and to focus on other senses — with me teaching what could possibly go wrong!!! But seriously, can you imagine your life without sight? How would you cope, how would you live your life?
Some of you know my mother- in-law sadly passed away earlier this year who was blind. Becoming blind at 40 never really bothered her, typical of her age group you just get on with it. It wasn’t until later years, becoming a widow and her own health & mobility issues that the sense of isolation and loneliness of losing her eyesight would bring to her life. So very thankful to the RNIB for their Talking Book Service, this became a real lifeline for her and many others, this fantastic FREE service offers 1000’s of books, Newspaper & Magazines. Cant imagine never reading a book or newspaper again…
Hence this Yoga session, I would like to raise awareness and funds for the RNIB to make every day better for those living with sight loss and limited vision. So come and test your other senses and my teaching skills!!! All money raised will go to RNIB (apart from Eventbrite fees) so please, please, please help me raise some money to support the many wonderful services & support the RNIB offer.
