f22 are proud to return to the Norwegian Church this year after the success of their previous exhibitions.
f22 is inspired by a lens aperture setting that helps to establish depth-of-field and light.
Mike & Dave met through a joint love… of photography whilst studying at the University of Luton. They have been exhibiting their photographic work together for the past four years in a number of galleries across England and Wales.
The two photographers produce both traditional SLR and DSLR and work mainly in the landscape genre, taking inspiration from the 'great outdoors'.
Mike's work is influenced by many great photographers such as Berenice Abbott and Guy Bourdin, as well as filmmakers Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick. He likes to photograph landscapes from unusual viewpoints and capture a moment that places you often within the shot.
Dave finds inspiration from landscape photographers such as Ansel Adams and Galen Rowell and aims to capture a pure form of landscape photography without the use of digital editing techniques, putting the viewer at the very edge of the scene to share «that moment», and to celebrate an honest appraisal of nature.
Mike's just completed his Masters by Research which involved both video installations through static camera shots.
